swoon! i love love love handmade socks, even if i loathe the process of making them. every time i see gorgeous socks like this in a pile, though, it makes me want to pick up sock needles and give them just ONE MORE TRY.
wow, i'm deeply impressed! have you really knitted all the socks yourself? well, i know the answer, of course you have! i love your blog. you inspire me so much. thank you!
Beautiful. I love sock knitting. I love the innovative patterns and fabulous color choices. I must confess, though, that I don't actually enjoy WEARING them, because I fret over matching the rest of my clothes to my socks. So I knit socks for myself in solid colors (or very muted variegated yarns) in a 3x1 rib that I love and goes with everything. My mother and sisters get the other socks. Everyone is happy.
My goodness me.I thought I had knitted a lot of socks. We have a 3 hour car journey tomorrow to our son's in Cambridge.I shall knit all the way.Is that enough time to do one complete sock, maybe not,but I could finish it on the way back on Sunday.Oh no,I forgot a weekend with the grandchildren and I shall probably sleep on the way back!
WOW!! Inspirational yet again! What a spectacular array. I have knitted one (how sad) pair of socks, but just recently received two lots of wool to knit more so that's something at least.
Any project worked on (even the unfinished ones) seem like a diary of that time - where I was, who was sick or well, what classes the kids were in that I was watching, what was in the oven... by the time I DO finish anything I always feel like it's a story of it's own and I feel a little sad to part with it - even simply in having it off the hooks or machine or hoop... That photo of all those makes me gasp with how many moments must be represented in each of the stripes, colors, dots and zig zags... and only you really know the whole story. Very cool. By the way, whomever posted that comment on Amazon was missing a link mentally, obviously.
Oh my. I love all of your knitting and all of your quilting and all of your baking and...will you adopt me? I come with two ready-made grandchildren (4 and 2), as well as a husband, dog, and two cats. Just let me know when I ought to start packing and we'll be there in a few days!! :oP You inspire me!
Oh, that made my day. It's rainy and gray and blah here in Michigan. So glad your sock drawer(s) is/are so happy.
Best photo in a long time... from a purely heartfelt perspective. Sometimes it's the heart, (as well as the eyes), which needs inspiration and encouragement.
Heading into the cold season, you've given me magic. Thanks.
whoa.
