I take all my photos with a Fujifilm FinePix F30, in natural light and without any extra equipment (except when I use a large sheet of watercolour paper to cut out direct light). I don't Photoshop or alter my photos in any way, and the only adjustment I make is when/if I crop them.
Lovely to see the daffs in bloom at last. Our front garden which comprises a grassy bank against a laurel hedge has naturalized daffs and they are now flowering in the grass and look lovely. Our back garden daffs are still at the 'pencil' stage, before the heads droop and the petals open.
I love it when daffs get to that perfect, almost waxy stage - no other flower does perfection quite as well as the humble daff! I have 3 bunches in my house at the mo and one in the office. instant sunshine!
You're not old enough to remember those plastic flowers. My friend's parents made up some cement and 'planted' them in front of their house (mind you this was the house where they had illustrated wallpaper which they spent winter evenings colouring in...) My goodness, how do you do it Jane, now you have dredged up some hilarious memories, thanks.
beautiful daffs! my amaryllis just popped out it's 4th flower on the one stem today. spring is sneaking up. jane, do you have a favorite sock pattern? i've never made a pair and there are so many i have no idea which would be best and not cause too much trouble.
Just seeing your daffodils in full bloom just sent a wave of warmth over me. What a great reminder to go out and get a bunch or two to brighten my living room. Thanks.
To me the daffs mean that it won't be too long before I hope that it will be Tulip season for Yarnstorm again. Oh how I wish I had planted bulb last autumn. Still my tete a tete are just dandy!
Wow! In New Hampshire, we just got another 14 inches of snow last night...! Won't be seeing our daffodils for another 6 weeks, I'd bet... I should visit the local florist for a spot of cheer... thanks for the inspiration!
I haven't ever posted on your blog before but I love popping by. Congrats on three years of blogging! I wish our daffodils were at their peak right now!!! We have another month to go before that happens.
Congrats on three years! This is my favorite blog as it encompasses all of my favorite things, especially quilting, gardening and reading... Keep it up PLEASE...I feel like yarnstorm is one of my girlfriends... just a bit less chatty...
I love this series! As does my Mum, who is a huge daffodil fan!

My daffodils haven't flowered yet but the lady-next-door's have - not sure what I'm doing wrong! Never mind, at least I can look at hers, and yours.

Our daffodils "tips" are half-covered in snow here in New Jersey and won't bloom for at least a few weeks so your pictures are a welcome preview.
