seventies speak
Whenever I see lots and lots of beautiful apple blossom like this, I always think of the great 70s advertising slogan for Cresta (great bear, horrible product): 'it's frothy, man'.
Wisley yesterday. A vision of blossomy white loveliness,
and some pretty fantabulous tulips,
as the disc jockeys of the 1970s used to say.

oh I loved the cresta advert, and the drink!!! now, was it the same bear that later appeared in the fox's glacier mint ad? just a bit older and calmer! I think that bear had a very long career.
love the flowers. the first tulip one looks like it was painted, they alway make me smile, so thanks for the smile on a gloomy monday.

Desperately trying to think up some sort of a sentence saying how Smashy and Nicey your pictures are. I am sooo sad.

I just posted last week about how Vancouver's cherry blossoms always remind me of Alice Munro's description of 'clusters of pink popcorn.' Now I can't see apple blossoms without seeing popcorn, either.

I can only stand in silent admiration to these pictures of a perfect spring garden.

For once I feel as if I'm living inside of one of your photos - I have the same pink and white daffodils blooming in my garden and outside my office window is flowering crabapple. It's hard to keep at work with all this beautiful "froth" beckoning.

Such lovely flowers! I have really been noticing the apple blossom this year, normally I don't even see it. It must be prettier than usual!

Wow. It would be so worth aggrivating my raging allergies to see such beautiful gardens.

That's IT. I am going to order tulip bulbs right now. Wait, do they sell them right now? You and you alone have done this to me!

Man those tulips are something else. Just thought I'd let you know your wonderful book (1st book that is) has made it's way to the local library at Attleborough!!!! in South Norfolk. I put in a request for it and it's come. World domination next... Love from the Country.
