I take all my photos with a Fujifilm FinePix F30, in natural light and without any extra equipment (except when I use a large sheet of watercolour paper to cut out direct light). I don't Photoshop or alter my photos in any way, and the only adjustment I make is when/if I crop them.
I really HAVE to get some tulips this year ... I had no idea they could be so spectacular. Guess it depends on whose eyes are seeing them, doesn't it? Thank you for giving me this different perspective, so beautiful and, yes, stunning.
Gorgeous tulips!!No chance here (Brazil) for tulips to survive the tropical showers!
Love the pictures, the blog and your sense of humour!!! I'll be back!
I'm hoping that you know the name of these tulips? Usually you say, and this time you didn't. I would love to add some to my garden. They are probably the prettiest tulips I've ever seen!
Jane,
I just wanted to say that I got your book yesterday after dithering for a few months over whether or not to wait for the American edition. I'm so glad I didn't wait, because it's even more gorgeous than I hoped it would be. Every page is better than the one before, and I've never been so inspired to get into the kitchen or dig out my old sewing projects. It's like having your blog in a form I can carry around with me! You did an excellent job and I can't wait until July for your new one.

For the longest time, I did not like the color orange. But in the past few years when I came back to knitting and starting looking at yarn, I have begun to really like certain shades, like tangerine, a light, bright orange.
Hi Jane, I have to de-lurk to join the general chorus of admiration here -- this is an astounding image! It looks painted, like something by Georgia O'Keefe. Thanks for the daily supply of lovely pictures; I don't know how big your garden is, but it must be spectacular.
What stunning colours. It's a beautiful photograph.

Oh to wander round your garden. Bliss. Thank you for sharing them.
Here, we need a crowbar to plant bulbs (I'm not joking), so I am confined to pots.
