Weightless, calorie-free marmalade buns with juicy orange icing.
What the heck, I eat them anyway.

I want to thank all those who have commented on the last few posts and everyone else who visits this blog, especially those who keep coming back regularly. I have been blogging now for four and a half years and that's a long time not only in the world of computers, but also in any individual's life. Needless to say, there have been good times and bad times, and I think I can safely say I am now amply qualified to write or talk about the experience of blogging - something that is very different to the discussions of the role, nature and contents of blogs and their writers, and that has yet to be discussed in depth anywhere except on blogs themselves. And maybe one day I will. But in the meantime, please know that I love having you here to visit.
Dear Jane, I love reading your blog!! I think yours was the second (after The Purl Bee) I got totally addicted to read around January!

After buying `Cherry Cake and Ginger Beer` a while ago I discovered your blog and was both surprised and delighted.
It is the only website worth it`s weight in gold and is able to cheer me up on the dullest of days.
Please, please, please continue to brighten up our days Jane.
Love and best wishes to you

Funny! I wish my bathroom scale had the "Tare" button.
Thank you, as always, for the articulate, visually pleasing, and warm posts you consistently offer us all.

A blog is only one window of the whole person. I like it that way and so, I think, do you.

Thank you Jane! Between your book on Domesticity and this blog, I have become way more comfortable with my decision to leave the workforce and go headlong into homemaking as my "career". It has not always been easy, but seeing your examples of things makes me know how worthwhile it all really is! Thanks for being a mirror for me.

Another reader for eek that many years? Thank you Jane for the time, reflection, humour, wit, and art. Ready for a cup or glass with you when you are here.
Thank you, too, to your family.

Your blog is one of my "happy places" to go every day. I think I've been with you since almost the beginning ~ long enough so that I feel that we are good friends who share morning tea quite often. I miss you when you are away. Happy 4 1/2 years ~ and I hope you'll be here for many more years!!!
XOXOXO
